Support Groups

New Westminster Forget Me Not Family Society holds support group meetings for all members of the adoption constellation. We meet the second Tuesday of each month at the New Westminster Public Library, 716-6th Avenue, New Westminster, BC, from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.

Vancouver Forget Me Not Family Society is pleased to announce the start of a support group in the Vancouver area. This is open to all members of the constellation and will be facilitated by Lee Crawford. There is no fee for attending the group; however, seating is limited. We are hoping that our Richmond, Vancouver and North Shore people will take advantage of this group. Meetings will be held on the 1st Wednesday of each month, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.. The first meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 4, 2006. As seating is limited, you will have to call and tell Lee if you plan to attend the group. Lee can be reached at 604-875-9957. Meetings will take place at 659A Moberley Road, False Creek, Vancouver, B.C. V5Z 4B2

Please note, the Vancouver group will be holding it's last meeting February 3rd, 2010, after that date this group will no longer be meeting.

Surrey The Forget Me Not Family Society holds a support group for adoptees the third Tuesday of the month in the meeting room at the Strawberry Hill public library, 7399 - 122nd Street,  from 7 - 9 pm.  Contact Sandra Walters for more info, 778-994-2845 or walters.sandra@shaw.ca

Vancouver Sunrise Family Services Society offers a birth mother support group meeting the last Thursday of the month, 7:00PM. Additional details available ont their web site Sunrise Family Services.

Abbotsford Hope Services hosts a support group for new birth mothers. The group meets on a bi/weekly basis, within Abbotsford or Langley. Please contact Hope for more information by email ~ Click Here

Cloverdale The Forget Me Not Family Society also holds a support group in Cloverdale. This meeting will be the first Thursday of the month, and run year long except for the months of July and August. It will be held at the public library in Cloverdale, 5642 – 176 A Street, second floor from 6:30 – 8:30. This meeting is open to adoptees, birth/natural parents and adoptive parents.
