OPEN RECORDS
Baby child
Now full grown
How I long
To be your own
Ripped from my arms
The day you came
Never to see
Each other again.
So many years
I've waited for
A tiny crack
To an open door
That would lead us back
To one another
A reunion of child
And long lost mother.
Forever I dream
That soon one day
You find your way home
And here you'll stay.
Our eyes with meet
Our smiles will glow
A remembered bond
Our hearts will know.
I won't give up
Until it's done
A wish I wish
For every one
Who's lost a child
Or lost a mother
Father, sister, aunt
Or brother.
Open Records
So they say
New reunions
Here to stay
Hear the song
On waiting wings
The joy and love
Reunion brings.

The Connection
How does one explain this thing Between a mother and child? For some it is constant motion For others, it may be mild.
Before the hand touches That shrill ringing phone You know then who it is As you have always known.
A dream wakes you in the night And a sense of dread is felt Wondering about that child or mom
What other thing have they been dealt?
Hearing them say, it is really okay Puts your tensions and worries at bay Knowing in your heart and soul That they are doing well again today.
So how do we explain the unexplained? When mother and child live apart? Why is it they can tell and know, What is in each other’s heart?
They still know the caller When that shrill phone rings. Although the years dividing them Doesn’t block the knowing of things.
Is it our DNA or genetic code? That has this connection stay The proof is in the pudding What the experiences do convey.
That time, experience and distance Not a difference do they make The connection of mother and child
Is there, make no mistake!
